- BOARD PROFILE - Rock Out Camber
Flat between your bindings for stability, Camber near the feet for response and a rocker on the tip/tail for pressability.
Shape
- SHAPE - Directional twin
A twin shape for freestyle moves with a directional flex for power at high-speed. Binding stance is set back from center slightly.
Sidecut
- SIDECUT - Quadralizer
Explosive combination of Equalizer and Quadratic allows high speed carving as well as superior edge control in tight spots.
-
- ADDITIVES - Ghost Carbon Beam: Two carbon beams inserts on tip and tail for maximum pop and increased stability during high speed charging.
- FIBER & RESIN - BA MD fiberglass: Medium density European-made fiberglass layers guarantee a consistent quality level, for light and lively boards.
- FIBER & RESIN - 30% Bio-based resin: This bio-epoxy resin is made with 30% of its molecular structure derived from plants.
- ADDITIVES - Popster: The core is strategically milled inside of the insert packs, allowing the board to flex more naturally underfoot and transfer energy into the nose and tail for added pop.
- BASE MATERIAL - Sintered EG: Engineered for fast glide speed and maximum wax retention in all conditions. Gallium strengthens impact resistance, while the Electra finish enhances speed.
- CORE TYPE - Ghost Green Core: Ghost Green Core components have been selected and designed to optimize pop and reduce weight while utilizing attributes of a super light wood.
- BASE FINISHING - Fine stone finish: Our fine stone finish is particularly efficient on our Sintered EG base, speed up in powder or softer snow conditions.
- BASE FINISHING - Natural wax: A paraffin-free wax compound made from natural ingredients. A non-pollutant compound held to the highest standards of glide speed.
- EDGE FINISHING - Freestyle EB: Equipped from the factory with a 2-degree bevel around the nose and tail and a 3-degree bevel between the feet, providing a balance of edge hold and forgiveness on rails.
- INSERTS: 4X2 INSERTS
- SUSPENSION - Gunslinger Sidewall: The pinnacle of Slingshot technology, implementing carbon inlays that run the full length of the board to meet reaction and shock absorption needs of Bode Merrill.

Flimsy, Poor Craftsmanship
I rode a Huck Knife and was very pleased with it, so after a few years I "upgraded" to the Assassin Pro (2023 model). The board is overall too stiff, but I did enjoy the pop and how it performed on big mountain terrain. However, after about 10 days of riding it, I skimmed a rock and instead of a small core shot I got a 10-inch delamination under my left binding. This felt like a lot of damage for how small the impact was.
After my warranty claim was denied, I continued to ride the board, and after taking a mild fall I heard a loud crack and discovered that the nose of my board had cracked through the top sheet and first base layer just outside my RIGHT binding (completely unrelated to the other incident). My second warranty claim was also QUICKLY denied due to the damage being "impact related". I do not understand this since everything you could possibly do on a snowboard is impact related. I should note that with my riding style, I do expect things like this to happen eventually, but not when the board is virtually brand new.
And yet Salomon will not admit the board is defective.
I should also mention that both my Huck Knife and Assassin have compressions below the heels of my bindings, as if the board is collapsing in on itself.
In summation, I have no other choice than to conclude Salomon either makes terrible snowboards, or that they have a terrible warranty policy, or both. They clearly do not care about their snowboards, and I would encourage you to look elsewhere to purchase a board. Do not waste your money on these boards.
