Matthias Kyburz Runs his First Marathon de Paris in 2h07'44"

Swiss runner Matthias Kyburz aims for the 2024 Olympic games after a 2h07'44" time at Marathon de Paris, just under the qualifying time limit!

Matthias Kyburz is one of the most promising runners out of Switzerland. He has been a successful orienteering runner, winning numerous international and national races, including 8 gold medals at the World Orienteering Championships, as well as 5 overall wins in recent years.

His first participation in a marathon was crowned with immense success, with Kyburz running an impressive 2h07'44" at the 2024 Marathon de Paris, placing him 7th overall and first European runner.

Kyburz explains that he loves to mix disciplines, running on a wide variety of terrain, from flat roads to technical mountainous trails.
