What is NSO technology?
NSO technology has been developed to help runners improve their physical performance and reduce fatigue while exercising. To develop this technology, we relied on studies that examined the benefits of infrared patches and, more specifically, on eNOsyntex® technology. Developed by physiotherapist Arnaud Tortel in collaboration with top athletes including Kilian Jornet, Emilie Forsberg and François d’Haene, the purpose of this innovation is to maintain the body’s balance during exertion. This led us to envision a collection of technical clothing that directly integrates infrared technology onto targeted areas. NSO technology takes its name from the Japanese word “ensō” (the Japanese word symbolizing balance and completion), which is what we aspire to through this process.
How does NSO technology work?
Composed of a variety of minerals called metal oxides, patches on the clothing act like mirrors that reflect infrared rays that are naturally emitted by our bodies.
NSO technology is based on two patents: 1) a unique mixture of minerals, and 2) the mapping of strategic points of contact with the body. As a result of the combination of 32 carefully selected minerals in a polymerized base, our body’s infrared rays are reflected, which improves the circulation of bodily fluids. This provides a better supply of oxygen and nutrients to the muscles, which in turn facilitates the elimination of toxins more efficiently.
Most other infrared technologies are applied to an entire piece of fabric, however, NSO technology specifically targets key areas of the human body like muscular points as well as organic and energy points. By using infrared patches, NSO technology is directly integrated into the technical garment so that it focuses on sensitive areas that have been identified for optimal action.

What are the benefits of NSO technology?
NSO technology integrated into clothing helps maintain a balance that can reduce the effects of fatigue. This light weight means the garment evacuates moisture well and dries incredibly quickly which enables the use of natural fabrications like a 37.5® and Merino blend.
The impregnation of this technology within the fabric itself supports you in your activity without compromising comfort. Garments with NSO technology can be machine washed without losing any of their properties.
