I'm so dissapointed with this boot!
I have had 4 pairs of Malamutes in the past and they were the best boots on the market for big mountain riding. I am a ski cameraman and need a boot to be precise with no heel lift. I could rely on Malamute. Until this last pair where Salomon have changed the design and done away with the heel strap. Not even a mention of this in any of the Boots literature that this had been changed! I have now tried extra inner soles to pack them out. I do the boots up so tight that I lose blood to my toes I still get a heal lift. Now I'm stuck with a season ahead and a boot I can't rely on. Very poor Salomon.

Salomon do not care , They make rubbish products
This is the latest replay from Salomon, They just brush Clients off,
Dear Andrew,
Thank you for your emails.
As already explained by me and our agents, the Brand handles these feedbacks as it should be, and it seems they didn't find a fault in the design so far.
We're not going to take any action on this, and your case with the Customer Service about the MALAMUTE is going to be closed.
If the retailer approves the warranty, you can ask for a full refund instead of a replacement boots.
Then, you'll be able to buy any other product, online as well.
Inform us in case you want to do so, and we will be able to provide you with a discount code.
Please continue handling this case with the retailer, that is the correct channel Salomon has for warranties of items purchased in store.
Thank you for your understanding.
Kind regards.
