Capable trail shoe
I've had these for a couple of months now. They have great cushioning but are not too squishy. They respond well on the trail and have good traction on dirt/gravel.

Perfekter Trail- und Berglaufschuh
Ich laufe seit Jahren Salomon auf meinen Trails, zuerst die Sense-Serie, dann lange den Speedcross und nun den Genesis. Vom Aufbau her ein komplett anderer Schuh, fühlt sich aber trotzdem extrem gut am Fuß an. Ich habe den Genesis inzwischen in verschiedenen Terrains laufen können, am wohlsten fühle ich mich damit auf Schotter und Fels. Die Sohle ist dafür wie geschaffen, auch bei nassem Untergrund habe ich genügend Grip. Die Schnürung ist wie bei Salomon gewohnt exzellent, gerade im Vorfuß kann man hier schnell den nötigen Druck aufbauen, damit der Schuh fest sitzt.
Die Sprengung von 8mm ist gut, um den nötigen Bodenkontakt halten zu können, für richtig schnelle Einheiten auf Feldwegen oder Asphalt ist der Schuh aber nicht geeignet - zumindest nicht, wenn man wie ich eher mit dem Mittel-/Vorfuß aufsetzt. Im Gelände habe ich die hohe Stabilität des Genesis zu schätzen gelernt, die Sohle ist dabei aber nicht übermäßig steif. Das Obermaterial hat bislang durchgehalten, auch ein größeres Geröllfeld oberhalb der Baumgrenze ging schadlos an dem Schuh vorüber.
Wasserdicht ist der Genesis nicht, dafür sehr atmungsaktiv. Ein bisschen mehr Schutz durch eine wasserabweisende Struktur des Gewebes hätte ich mir aber schon erhofft.
Insgesamt bin ich mit dem Schuh sehr zufrieden. Er ersetzt zwar nicht den Speedcross für schnelle Trails im Wald, aber dafür ist er auch nicht konzipiert.

Bardzo wygodne buty - świetna amortyzacja
Buty rewelacyjne, wygodne, lekkie, z doskonałą amortyzacją, użyto wysokiej jakości materiałów. But bardzo mocno przylega do stopy i nie ma elastyczności/rozciągliwości na odcinku początku śródstopia (pierwsze otwory od sznurówek patrząc od palców) porównując do innych butów Salomona (których parę sztuk na półce mam) dla niektórych może być ciasny/niekomfortowy w tym miejscu.

great for trails
Been wearing them for about a month and they work great for dirt roads, tame trails, untamed trails, and off trails. Was looking for a lighter weight option to my XA Pros and these are it. Between the Genesis and Speedcross I've got excellent options for year round trail running in VT. Only thing that would make the Genesis better would be a more aggressive tread for lose or wet trails.
