Rated 3 out of 5 by NixB from Pressure over top of big toe Really gutted as i have had two Salomon hiking boots prior to these and they were ace. Sadly these are tight over the top of my right big toe - i think associated with the position of the toggles where the lace threads in which is lower down the foot than before. I have worked for three weeks to try and wear them in by I'm afraid they hurt when i walk downhill. If you have high arches or anything approaching a big toe bunion then i think these will be tight. Such a shame as they look great and my left foot is super comfortable!

Rated 5 out of 5 by Hiitsmerh from A firm favourite I’ve had many pairs of Salomon XA Pro. I’ve tried other brands but nothing beats these. Love the goretex it just gives that extra protection when conditions are tough. Great for walking the dog, scrambling over rough terrain or just going to the shop.

Rated 2 out of 5 by Ioana from Slight sizing inconsistency The shoe overall seems of great quality but as someone who own multiple other styles of salomon shoes, I am dissapointed to see that sizing is not consistent. I bought the same size as I normally do and although I felt the shoes a bit tight, I thought they will loosen but they never did. 5 months later and they’re still much tighter than any other shoes I own from this brand, making it impossible to go for any more that 5 miles at a time without pain.
