I really wanted to love this shoe…but!
After being so impressed by the excellent S lab pulsar SG, I bought these as a shoe to take to longer distances in racing and training. However they’re unwearable. The gaiter feature is more rigid/tighter than the s lab version, and digs into my ankle and Achilles. The sole feels very tippy, and unless you’re on very buffed trails, they feel like an accident waiting to happen. The ride is actually quite harsh and I couldn’t see myself going further than 20km in them, if they didn’t cause me pain that is. So disappointed.

I really wanted to love this shoe. But…..
After being a Salomon fan for years I bought this hoping for an ultra marathon friendly version of the excellent S lab pulsar SG. It is incomparable; it’s like a shoe that doesn’t know what it wants to be; too rigid in the sole, tippy in anything mildly technical, and for me personally, so uncomfortable around the heel and Achilles that it’s unwearable. I’m stuck with a pair of shoes that are useless.
The first Salomon shoe I feel compelled to leave a bad review for.

Great cross trainer
The only downside with these is that they are incredibly hard to get on and off.
I have to use a shoehorn and it’s still very difficult!
After battling to get them on they are very comfortable

Great shoe, unhappy it's 30% cheaper 2 weeks later
Very snug fit like a sock. Very light. Grip not the best on damp surfaces. Price drop of 30% 2 weeks later is a kicker though
