Work really well for both touring and downhill
No noticeable difference with downhill binding - bit fiddly when switching to and from touring but otherwise no noticeable difference to touring bindings great product without any compromise in performance. Obviously heavier than pure touring but for what I want they are perfect

The product is great, but not the instructions
I'm really happy with this binding for both uphill and downhill use, but it's not completely intuitive to use and comes without any instructions. I looked on this website and on YouTube etc. for guidance, but they all just say it's really simple to use. I assumed everything was OK until a helpful dude stopped me in the lift queue and pointed out that the front blue lever needs to be clicked right down for downhill skiing mode. This was never made clear to me, and the guy said he's seen other people using Shift bindings without doing this properly. I've no idea if the binding is safe without the front lever clicked right down, but I don't think Salomon should just assume people will somehow know this, or that some kind passer-by will point it out to them. I should point out I've been skiing and touring for years so this is not a novice error.

A great binding
Fantastic binding that gives you great touring capabilities but above all skis downhill as good as a normal binding. Put them on my Fischer 98 Ti skis and now have a great all round ski. Fab in powder. Nice and light but supportive.
