Biography
Courtney is the queen of ultra running, an athlete who needs little introduction. In 2023, she became the first person to win the Western States 100, Hardrock 100, and UTMB, three iconic 100-mile races in the same year. Courtney joined the Salomon team in 2017 and made her mark as a professional ultra-runner after winning the Moab 240 mile outright. From here, Courtney’s career followed an upward trajectory as she won the Western States 100 for the first time in 2018, UTMB in 2019 and 2021, Hardrock 100, and Diagonale des Fous in 2022. Despite her incredible achievements, Courtney is a humble individual with a positive attitude to life, and she credits her success to her ability to dig deeper into “the pain cave.” She constantly pushes the limits of trail running yet she is usually found with a smile on her face, enjoying candy and a post-race beer.
