Salomons anseende som ledande tillverkare av skidbindningar har anor till 1950-talet, när företaget ersatte de läderremmar som tidigare höll fast fötterna i alpina skidor. Ända sedan dess har skidåkarnas säkerhet varit en av våra främsta prioriteter, och vi har tagit fram otaliga bindningar som på ett antal sätt har revolutionerat skidbranschen. Därför har vi idag bestämt oss för att genomföra en frivillig återkallelse av en av våra bindningar som en säkerhetsåtgärd. Efter rapporter från återförsäljare och våra egna tekniska granskningar har vi hittat ett problem med tådelen i ett produktionsparti av Salomon MTN topptursbindningar.
Genom att följa instruktionerna nedan kan du avgöra om den MTN-bindning som du äger omfattas av återkallelsen, och kan byta de tådelar som kan vara påverkade så smidigt som möjligt.
Återkallelsen gäller följande produkter:
Endast produkter tillverkade mellan den 1 maj 2022 och den 31 mars 2023 berörs.
Om du köpte dina bindningar före den 1 maj 2022 berörs du inte av denna återkallelse. Följ de här stegen, beroende på din situation:
1/ Bindningarna ligger kvar i förpackningen: identifiering
Kontrollera produktionsdatum på etiketten på förpackningen
Kontrollera datumet
2/ Bindings already mounted on the skis

Om din bindning faller inom någon av de kategorier som nämns ovan ber vi dig att lämna in dina skidor till butiken där de köptes. Alternativt, om detta inte är möjligt, kan du besöka valfri Salomon-återförsäljare. Du kan använda "hitta butik"-verktyget som finns på webben om det behövs.
Butikspersonalen kontrollerar serienumret och byter vid behov ut tådelen utan kostnad. VARNING: Skidbindningar ska endast demonteras av återförsäljare. Du får under inga omständigheter själv försöka ändra eller demontera bindningarna.
Vanliga frågor
Under vissa förhållanden kan fjädringens styraxel gå sönder (indikeras i rött nedan), vilket får pjäxan att lossna från skidan. Om tådelen öppnas kan det leda till att skidåkaren tappar kontrollen, faller eller skadar sig.
Consumers should immediately stop using these ski bindings and return them to any Salomon dealer. The dealer will determine if the binding is subject to the recall and, if yes, will replace the toe component free of charge.

We are glad that you like our bindings, however your safety is our primary concern. So please immediately stop using these ski bindings and have them verified by one of our dealers. They will tell you whether your bindings are subject to the recall or not.
Proof of purchase is not necessary in this case. Please bring your skis & bindings back to the shop where you bought them or, if not possible, any Salomon dealer using the store locator. In case of any problems, you may call our Consumer Service (contact details here under).
The retailer will check the serial number of your bindings. For this, they need to dismount one of the toe components from the ski. Then, there are 2 possibilities: - Your bindings are not part of the recall > The dealer will re-mount the toe component - Your bindings are part of the recall > the dealer will unscrew both toe components, and replace them at no charge.
No, only dealers should disassemble ski bindings. Under no circumstances should you try to alter or disassemble the bindings by yourself. That is why we kindly ask you to visit your Salomon dealer.
We have changed the manufacturing process and we have also reinforced our quality checks during and after production.
No, the process is free of charge.
As we replace toe components by new ones, these will be under warranty for 2 years starting from the replacement date. The rest of the binding (heels, brakes, etc) remains under the original warranty policy.
