Wow!
I'm really picky when it comes to my feet. I was looking for warm, reliable, rugged winter boots that would last more than a couple years. I read many reviews and I was not disappointed! Great for all outdoor activities that require a warm durable boot, highly recommend!

blown seems at 2 months
I have run Sal stuff for decades and obviously love them. This boot is a loser with many reviews showing the blown seams from front to back. Salomon doesn't seem to have any customer support any more - not that I ever needed it ever in the past. Super comfy, super warm, but self destructing.

Think SnowMobile Boot
I have spent all day in below 0Degree F temps and standing on snow and ice and my feet never got cold.
Ran many snowshoe wilderness SAR missions in the middle of blizzards, worked on the ski slopes all day, waded across icy water streams, Never getting cold feet.
They are fairly stiff walking, not much flex for and aft but; an easy sacrifice for the warmth, comfort, durability when the temps demand such a boot. I have worn mine now for over 13 years and they still look new (granted these are normally not the 24/7/365 boots unless your climate requires it.

Dog walker with lots of driving duties
I’ve been wearing my boots 8-4 Monday to Friday for a few weeks now during November 2023 endless rain and I’m very happy with the overall performance. I’m a dog walker and walk 20 dogs per day most days. We travel over different types of terrain, rocky coastline forests and muddy fields so it’s important to have a reliable waterproof boot. I’ve tried heavy duty welly’s but they don’t stand up to the driving duties also required for my job. The boots are the most expensive pair I’ve purchased so I’m expecting at least 12 months waterproof service.

Best winter activity boot I’ve ever had!
Use these boots for dog walking, snowshoeing, late season hunting and winter 14ers. Keep my feet dry and warm but never really sweaty. Comfortable to be in for long days. Toss em on the boot dryer and they’re good for the next days adventure.

Poor quality, broke first time wearing them
One of the lace hooks near the top of the boot popped off the very first time I wore these boots while untying them. My last pair of Salomon boots lasted over 10 years. Very disappointed.

I’ve had great luck with these boots I live in northern Wisconsin hunting, ice fishing and everything outdoors. I also used them in Alaska they keep my feet warm and they are light! Would have have 5 stars but it needs a gator ring. I’ve had them for 4 years and have held up great! Ordering a new pair this fall!!

Shame
This review is not based on having purchased the boots yet, but to say its such a shame boots at this price are not more robust and well thought through.
I have purchased Salomons for years and recently I have noticed points like the stitching and crease lines being in the wrong position to ensure durability. I'm not a designer but surely revisions based on customer feedback can be achieved more quickly.
Based on the current reviews regarding the stitching and stiffness of the toebox I won't be purchasing, which is a shame as I really hoped these would be exactly what I need.
I'll naturally look out for a revised pair.

Warm but Junk!
Bought these boots to keep my feet warm and protected from the elements so I could do some walking in the winter. Now they are Junk! After a few months of walking the seams tore apart where the foot meets the toe! Boots with holes in them! Engineers need to create a flex point at this location to allow the boot to flex without the stitching tearing apart! 🤷♂️

warm on first wear
I bought them about a month ago and I have only had the chance to wear them once. I wore them snowshoeing and they were exactly as warm as advertised - probably a little too warm for the day but I wanted to get a chance to wear them in before the end of the season.

Warm in Icelandic winter, but will they last?
Bought in Nov 2022, a few U.K. winter days - 3km max walks to break them in. Went for my normal Salomon boot size plus a half size (ie. 10 normally, 10.5 in these).
Full 8 days in Iceland in Feb 2023, worn all day every day and some nights for glacier walks and northern light hunting. -12C at night in ankle deep snow - warm and dry. The PU coated leather arms to be fine.
BUT:
Early signs of seam failure already around the forefoot crease……might need to apply some pre-emptive shoe goo!

Good boots but not water proof
I loved these boots when they arrived. But the first time I used them in wet snow my feet got wet. I saved up to buy these boots and now I’m back to square one. I like everything else about the boots except for the fact they are not water proof like the description

Satisfied...but latest version appears to be diffé
I bought these Toundra Pro's to replace an older version. The latest model appears to be smaller (not as roomy as older model to allow for comfortable circulation) and more confining but the general material of the outer shell and the insulated lining appear to be the same as the my.older model Toundra Pro. Still a very good boot that should be more than edequate to keep my feet warm and comfortable.on those cold winter days snowblowing the driveway or enjoying outdoor winter activities

Great looking and comfy but….
I purchased these as a Christmas gift for myself. It was hard not to wear them before Christmas but on Christmas Eve I had to open them due to the severe cold that hit everyone in the northeast. I was so excited to finally wear them since they are rated high for warmth. Especially since I’m a mail carrier at usps that’s outside all day. The laces have to be double knotted or will come loose within minutes. No biggie tho.
Well I wore a pair of my Army issued wool socks with them and within 30 mins my feet were ice cold and numb!! I’ve loved ALL of my Salmomon products until now. So disappointed and don’t even know what to do with them now:(

Great look
Wore them for the first time today. They were very comfortable and kept my feet warm and dry. My only complaint is that the laces are hard to keep tied. They kept coming unlaced. They're hard to tighten because of the stiffness of the laces. Hopefully over time they'll soften up and become easier to keep laced

What more can you expect from active winter boots? I got these late in the season and really look forward to putting them to work next winter.

Comfortable and warm
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Just did first winter hike up Monadnock via Pumpelly, feet were toasty and boots were easy on the break in. Make sure you double knot the laces. No issues sliding traction over soles, I like them a lot.

Comfortable & warm
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I've been taking these out for 3-5 mile hikes in deep-ish snow (for Pennsylvania), and they have been performing super well. They are comfortable, have great traction on snow and ice, and I've stayed warm and dry in both below 20F and wet conditions. Looking forward to using them on even longer and colder hikes.

Warmes Boot Ever
Bought these boots a couple months ago for the frigid Canadian winters. I have really poor circulation in my toes from years of frost bite and the Toundra Pro's kept my feet warm in up to -45C. They always keep my feet at the perfect temperature, never too hot or too cold. Only slight issue was when I was snowmobiling in -35C, the wind penetrated the boots quite a bit which left me a little chilly.

Warm, light, comfortable
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Excellent timing adding this boot ahead of an active winter season. I bought this primarily for snow shoeing and winter hiking. Five stars on both accounts as we’ve had perfect weather for both. I was making do with mid ankle leather hikers and glad I upgraded. I didn’t realize how the weight would make such a difference. 750 grams versus 1,050 g for the leather. Add snow shoe and gaiter, it adds up. Would buy again.

Lightweight and Warm, short break in period.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The boot run about 1/2 size big. I've been in -10 in these boots, and they're warm and toasty! They're nice and stiff for fat-tire biking, but not so stiff that I couldn't also use them for a hike. They're so good, I got my partner a pair, and her parents a pair. They're great, and worth every penny.
