Great and sturdy!
I bought this shoe a month ago and it's now a go-to trail shoe for me! It is sturdy and comfortable, yet springy and lightweight. However, I would recommend wearing taller socks otherwise the collar causes chafing on your ankle.

Hard to get on
I liked the look of these running shoes and they seemed perfect as a new runner.
However they are very tight round the ankle and as such hard to get on. I understand that is because it’s stops mud getting in but I think most people would forego that in order to not struggle getting them on.
I do like that they don’t have laces and they are relatively comfy.

Pulsar Trail Pro 2
Bought toy Pulsar Trail Pro 2s about a month ago.
Started to use then straightaway.
Took me about a week, to learn how to get my feet into them without taking 10 minutes.
Are the most comfortable running issue I have ever had where I can wear them straight away and they don’t hurt at all.
They are so lite, you do not feel that you’ve got them on.
I Love them.

Old school break in required.
I read the reviews, bought the shoes anyway and am pleased that I did. For reference, I have a low volume, fairly narrow foot and found the shoe to be true to size in lightweight socks with other Salomon shoes. Here’s the kicker though, it’s not like the shoes we have grown used to where we can run a 25K+ right out of the box, without a blister. They need time to mold to your foot and keep getting better with age. After a proper break in, the shoes have a firm, secure, breathable fit. The ankle collar feels firmer and more substantial than on the S/lab Ultra 3. I use them for less technical and hybrid trails as the lugs are not aggressive. There is ample protection from rocks with moderate ground feel and they promote a mid to forefoot strike.
