Biography
The older of the two Zampa brothers, Adam’s goal is to always have fun on his skis and try to be the fastest guy down the slope every run. Born as the fourth generation of a ski family, his great grandfather, grandfather, grandmother, and father were all ski racers who competed for the Slovakian ski team. Adam raced in his first World Cup in 2010 at the age of 20, and in his first Olympic appearance in 2014 he missed a medal by just over half a second. He was 21st in the downhill run, won the slalom one, and finished 5th in the end. He also finished 6th in the slalom race at the same edition of the Winter Olympic Games. Three years later he added a World Championships medal to his name, winning a silver in the Team Event which took place in St. Moritz, Switzerland, in 2017. In his free time, he loves racing cars, and as a PPL pilot, he enjoys flying small planes. Both he and his brother are coached by their father Tomas.
