Rated 5 de 5 de par Perfect B/C Helmet Love the weight and extra features on this helmet. I never took my resort helmet into the backcountry due to the weight but that's not an issue with the MTN Lab. I'm also a big fan of the headlight catch because it saved me from being benighted in the Sierras.

Rated 5 de 5 de par Would buy again Took the helmet out to Mammoth mountain opening day and the first day of use. The helmet is lite and has a low profile. I wear Spy goggles and they integrated with the helmet as well.

Rated 5 de 5 de par Best Helmet for Backcountry Right mixture of light weight, breathable, with solid protection. Basically the perfect outcome if a climbing helmet had a child with a real deal ski helmet. Enough ventilation to wear when your climbing up something with ice axes in the spring. And enough protection if you blow it on the way down (which most climbing helmets don’t have). A solid addition for backcountry travels who use ice axes and crampons in the spring.

Rated 5 de 5 de par No reason not to wear your helmet I've been wearing this helmet for 2 ski seasons after upgrading from a resort helmet and it's fantastic. I actually take it with me and wear it on tours because it's light, comfortable, fits my goggles well (smith) and looks nice. I removed the liner so I can leave a buff on my head and hear better.

Rated 5 de 5 de par Lightweight and true to fit. Love love love the quick release of ski goggles and the ability to turn dial how tight the helmet fits your head. Very breathable. As for the reviews that say its old, again you can easily wear a skull cap or buff and be comfortable (warm).

Rated 3 de 5 de par No XL option seems like a cool concept but I can't get behind a helmet that doesn't fit anyone who's head is bigger than 62cm. When's the XL model going to launch? Big headed folks like ski touring too

Rated 5 de 5 de par Saved me from dying, TWICE Have had my Mtn Lab helmet for a few years and it's been on tons of skiing and climbing adventures. Two times it's for sure saved my life. Once it protected my head from a grapefruit sized rock hurtling down Mt. Shasta. The second time was this last friday skiing inbounds and a piece of wood flipped me into a strand of trees causing me to get a multi hour blackout concussion and hospital stay. Both easily could have killed me had I not had the helmet on. Definitely getting another MTN LAB since the combo of breath-ability, two liner options, dual safety cert'd, and looking good can't be beat.

Rated 5 de 5 de par Runs a little small Originally bought this helmet in the middle size since that matched the range on my climbing helmet. The shell was kinda tight, so returned it and got the largest size. Works well over base layer and mid layer hoods, and still tightens down enough to wear by itself.

Rated 5 de 5 de par Used it. And it worked. Very light. Good insert is easy to remove. Well vented. Early season, back country skiing, ski got caught, hit a small tree, Helmet worked. I was fine. Money well spent. Would never go without it.

Rated 4 de 5 de par Solid Ski touring helmet This helmet is excellent as a touring helmet. It's very lightweight, and mostly comfortable. I nearly always wear it with a toque or skull cap. I do find it's breathability not great on either end. Skiing fast its much too cold. Definitely need a toque. On the ascent it's generally too hot to wear unless it's very cold. Hiking up couloirs I've found it to be not nearly as comfy as my venerable Sirocco, though it's protection is much better. Oakley Airbrakes leave a invisible but painful gorbi gap. Haven't tried any others. Not a fan at all of the new colours. I have the old bright yellow and it's so much better. It makes finding me in a crowd much easier. I just have to wait for folks to gather. Also, the bag it came with was useless. Ripped within a day. Would have been nic eif it came with a lightweight means to attach to pack

Rated 5 de 5 de par Great Lightweight Helmet The MTN Helmet is the perfect helmet to use anytime. From Climbing couloirs to skiing the resort this is the only helmet I need. Super comfortable and light weight, I couldn’t ask for more from a helmet. The removable liner is also great for spring tours to cut down on bulk, and fits a visored had underneath easily.

Rated 5 de 5 de par Light and adaptable Used for the power of 4 skimo race and was great. Light enough for long distance events and seems durable. Love the interchangeable liner for different seasons. Works well with my smith goggles and the headlamp feature keeps things in place
