We are excited to announce that this week the Salomon Alpine family has become even stronger !

Following the successful collaboration between Salomon and the Austrian Ski Federation, giant slalom specialist Roland Leitinger is the latest addition to the young group of Austrian skiers who will follow Hannes Reichelt’s steps and compete on Salomon skis and boots over the next seasons.

In his six seasons competing on the World Cup Tour, 25-year-old Leitinger has already had a taste of the podium twice – at the World Championships in St. Moritz in 2017 he claimed a silver medal while last season he finished 2nd at the prestigious Alta Badia Parallel event.

"I liked the material from the very first turn, I could feel an increase in my confidence and power. Also, I really enjoy the Salomon team spirit and I know they are committed to helping me push my skiing to the next level," Leitinger said.

Leitinger will be joining Austrian speed specialists Christian Walder and Christoph Krenn who both signed with Salomon over the past days.

"After years of successful collaborations with the Austrian Ski Team, we are very excited to welcome these skiers to the Salomon Family. We are always on the lookout for new talent and they are a perfect fit for our brand. With ski resorts opening up, our team is ready to get back on snow and ensure preparation for next season pick up where they left off before the lockdown." Sylvain Leandre, Salomon International Alpine Racing Manager commented.
