Rated 4 de 5 por de Good shoe These are good shoes. I have an issue keeping them tight so my foot slides around a lot. The design of the laces coming out of the tongue makes it less convenient to lace. Otherwise these are great for traction and very comfortable. The other reviews about the toe box being protected are spot on! The toe box is also very roomy but snug enough so your foot is secure.

Rated 5 de 5 por de Great stability and traction for tough terrain This shoe has great stability and excellent traction. My feet feel secure and supported while running, hiking, walking, etc. The only suggestion I have is to size down a half to hole size. I usually buy a 7 in my athletic shoes, and these are a teeny bit larger than ideal. Thankfully I can tighten the laces or wear thicker socks to compensate.

Rated 5 de 5 por de Awesome for technical trails! I would compare these to the speedcross. They have even more aggressive lugs, which made running in mud and wet leaves a breeze. The toe box is so well protected! I would say more than the speedcross. I also found that there was a nice amount of padding at the ball of your foot, and arch. And for someone with a high arch, that was great!

Rated 5 de 5 por de Great beginner trail running shoe Comfortable, well-fitting, breathable, grippy. I am not a great runner, and I had only run in maximalist shoes before these ones. I love the way I feel connected to the ground through these shoes. They are flexible with excellent traction. My only complaint is how much extra slack the laces leave, but the tongue has a pocket you can stuff the slack into, or you can tuck it under the front of the laces. I am usually a US women's 11, so I bought the US 11/EU 44. I was expecting it to be a little tight, but it has just enough room at the end of my toes. The toe box is quite wide. For size reference , it fits about the same as my La Sportiva Spires (Men's 10/EU 43), much more spacious than the men's La Sportiva Bushido EU 43. I would not say it runs large - just that usually women's 11s or men's 10s that I wear often see to run tight. I was pleasantly surprised with the forgiving fit of the wildcross.

Rated 5 de 5 por de Great for technical terrain I love these shoes! I started using them this summer whenever I would run more technical trails and they were perfect. They are my go-to shoe for ridge scrambling, with great traction in steep loose dirt and scrambling over rocks and exposure. This is the shoe I used for the WURL, and in those 21 hours, I never had any problems with traction, support, or comfort.

Rated 5 de 5 por de Fast feel for a rugged trail shoe [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This is my first pair of Salomon footwear. I typically run trails that are single track that have areas of old river bed and lots of roots with some sandy spots. No steep grades, but some good moderate climbs that are runnable if you have the strength. Anyway, this shoe does very well on the ascents and descents and I am able to go much faster without worrying about slippage or skidding up and down. The narrower outsole also means that the edges of my shoes don't get caught up and drag against rocks and roots. The tread on these is serious and works well when getting through muddy spots. The only thing I had a small issue with was how to not over-tighten the lacing cord. I had a sore foot for a couple of days after running 10+ miles with an over tightened shoe. Haven't had any issues since I figured it out though. I wear a 10 in other brands and this shoe is true to size with maybe a tiny bit more room in the toe.

Rated 5 de 5 por de Great trail/hiking shoe! I’ve had these for a couple months now and LOVE them! Fit well, feel good and offer great support. They have great traction and make muddy trail runs/hikes all the more fun!

Rated 1 de 5 por de Terrible Support So slippery on the trails, I used them twice and gave them to the homeless shelter. My advice, Don't buy them! Many other trail runners out there that are 5 stars

Rated 5 de 5 por de Love love love these shoes!!!! I'm so happy I finally found a trail runner that makes my feet happy! This is my first pair of Salomons - I finally get the hype! These were extremely comfortable out of the box and have only gotten more comfortable with 2 months of use. So far I've mostly used them for hiking on a variety of terrain. The tread is incredible and I feel super supported and stable on uneven ground, hiking through mud, and even on slippery rock. I'm pretty solidly a size 8 so went with it. I like a wider shoe, and the wider toe box accommodates my tootsies. They are borderline too big length-wise, but with a slightly cushy sock they are perfect. Maybe size down a half size from your usual if you like a snug shoe! They also look very cool ;)

Rated 5 de 5 por de Great trail shoe So far I've only been for two runs in this shoe, but very happy! It's fall, so dealing with wet conditions, slippery roots and rocks and some snow. I keep pushing the grip a little further, and it hasn't let me down yet (where other shoes sometimes do on wet rocks). First run was ~10km on trail and no blisters or fit issues. Very happy. One note, I usually wear a 7.5 but I wear a 7 with Salomon, these included.

Rated 5 de 5 por de Unbelievable shoes! I was using the Speedcross 5 for a while before I decided to get the Wildcross. Not only did I find the design absolutely stunning, I was curious to try a shoe that would be less agressive but still able to provide me with a good grip and comfort in my mountain activities. I took them along for the first time on a 30 km hike with a quite big altitude gain: not a single blister! They are incredibly comfortable, the grip no matter the terrain was great, no matter the rocks around, I felt protected in my shoes. Go for these shoes with your eyes closed!! Awesome gear that I definitely recommend

Rated 4 de 5 por de Great Shoe Bought this about a month and a half ago, got them just before a trip to Algonquin and jumped right into them with 30km. No need to break these in, very comfortable right off the hop. Grip is also great. Takes a little trial and error to get the quick laces just right. A few loose stitchings but otherwise quite durable as I've already put 100km on them.

Rated 4 de 5 por de Great fit, great traction This was the 7th pair of shoes I ordered. The fit is great, plenty of room in the toe box but nor sloppy in the heal. I hike many miles a week in Colorado on every imaginable surface. I really appreciate the large tread on these shoes. The only downside is they are hard! There is no cushion to them. I tried several insoles and found a memory foam that makes these shoes perfect!!

Rated 5 de 5 por de IMPRESSED Grippy, nimble and light - super comfortable too. Really into the way they've held up on loose rocky terrain and scrambling. Love the wide toe box too. Not so wide its unstable, just wide enough for comfort. Honestly, LOVE THEM. Cant wait to take them out for longer runs.

Rated 5 de 5 por de Awesome new addition! These shoes are soooo light and have a much wider toe box than a lot of the other salmon shoes I’ve had! Super stoked to put more miles on these!

Rated 5 de 5 por de Just what I’ve been looking for! After running in both the X Alpine Pro and sense ride 3 all Spring, the Wildcross is exactly what I have been looking for in a shoe. It’s built for the technical trails and hella comfortable. I haven’t found the technical limit or distance limit on these puppies but I’ll keep trying!

Rated 5 de 5 por de New FAVORITE I really thought I was a die hard slab ultra fan, that I wouldn’t find another shoe that fits me... until the wild cross. WOW, literally, wow! I’m so impressed with the technical features and fit of this shoe. The lungs are beautiful, the weigh a lot less than I had expected- I was quite shocked at how beautiful the wrapped around my foot. My only issue is that they don’t tighten as easily but it could be because I’m so used to the sensitive tight laces of the slab ultras. I’m so happy to add these to my arsenal of running shoes that are a MUST

Rated 5 de 5 por de Finally, a great Salomon shoe! I bought this shoe a couple weeks ago and have to say that I finally get the Salomon hype. I have traditionally felt Salomon shoes were too stiff and narrow in the toe box, but the Wild Cross has a comfortable shoe box with a responsive foot, paired with meaty traction. They make me run with confidence on the trails and I swear these will now be my go to trail running shoe for years to come.

Rated 4 de 5 por de The Speedcross' Cooler, Younger Sibling If you love the Speedcross but wish it was lighter, less of a drop, and had more toe box room with even MORE grip? The Wildcross is a Salomon genius child. While it is not the most cushioned shoe in the lineup (reason I gave it 4/5 stars) the ground feel and lower drop compensate for it, along with the wider toe box. I definitely feel secure in the shoe and confident in its grip. I also appreciate the toe box width as it is wider than most Salomon shoes I have in my lineup.

Rated 5 de 5 por de Crazy lightweight These look heavy with the aggressive tread and reinforced upper, but I was pleasantly surprised how light they are! Better than the Speedcross 5, which I love. Really happy with the wider toe box and ankle stability. Great addition to the Salomon family. Please make this a yearly staple!

Rated 4 de 5 por de Great for scrambling Though the material on the shoe (tongue) rubs from time to time, I am noticing it less. These shoes are able to cling well to rock while climbing and hold together well while glissading snow! I’ve ran everything from short to long runs, muddy, dry, side hilling, flat trails and sketchy ridge lines.

Rated 4 de 5 por de Wider shoe with luscious lugs Awesome grippy, sticky shoe that is great for bombing downhills. I have a narrower foot than most so the wider midsection makes for a bit of a wiggle for me but will still use this for shorter days where I want to trust my shoe on the terrain.

Rated 5 de 5 por de Great shoes for long, technical terrain! These shoes are awesome for long days in the mountains! SO comfortable, durable and trustworthy. I have brought them on steep, rocky terrain and high alpine 13,000+ runs with no concern over how I would fair! They are awesome and I would recommend them to anyone that wants a supportive and rugged shoe for any kind of trail! I definitely prefer these for longer runs, although they will succeed in any distance!

Rated 5 de 5 por de Wildcross has awesome new lugs and roomy toe box! Omg I love these shoes. You don’t even have to break them in. They are beautiful. As you can see in the photo, they have these new multi directional lugs to have a ton of traction in mud. They worked really well. I wore them a few days ago on a rainy muddy day and they were snappy and no slipping over rocks either. On this day, the trail was muddy in the beginning but at this lovely dry park view, they still did well. This toe box is also noticeably roooomier then the other cross-series models so I had a lot of space to wiggle my toes. The new DreamTex wings were a nice touch keeping my foot secure and even when I splashed through the mud, the mesh kept my feet dry. Anyway, I’m a fan! (The the color of them, cmon so pretty)

Rated 5 de 5 por de Great shoe for the loose downhills! I brought these shoes out for my first mountain hike/jog while still recovering from a bad ankle sprain the week prior. Wow, did they feel great! They kept my foot stable on the technical trail and feeling confident on the loose downhills! This shoe will be a part of my regular Salomon shoe rotation for sure.

Rated 5 de 5 por de Time to GET RUGGED! As a Bay Area runner, I wondered how these would fair on Tam's rocky/loose single track. Despite not having a rock plate, I was able to navigate well and didn't feel any sharp rocks. For rocky single track, sand, and mud these will be my ABSOLUTE GO-TOS! These have a slightly wider forefoot which makes for extra comfy descending aka no smashed toes. Note: Where traction and protection aren't as important (e.g. fire roads) I'll probably stick with the Sense Rides and/or Sense Pros!

Rated 5 de 5 por de Grip & Protection I was really looking forward to trying these out, and wasn't dissapointed. I tested them out of the box on a long run on a trail with lots of loose baby rocks. I felt confident in my grip, and the deeper lugs helped me find traction despite the loose rocks. Decending I didn't feel any of the sharp rocks, I know I would've felt them poke through with other shoes. I'm looking forward to testing these out in the mud!

Rated 5 de 5 por de Run Wild & With Confidence! For years one of my favorite shoes has been the SpeedCross, but the WildCross has me changing my mind. The sizable lugs handle loose ground and mud without issue, while also gripping well on rocks and roots. The overall is fit is great, and there seems to be the perfect amount of room in the forefoot so my toes are happy. I am eager to get more miles in these shoes and keep testing them day in and day out. Bravo Salomon!

Rated 5 de 5 por de Solid in the Mountains These are a great shoe for harder trails (read: anything but fire roads). I've hiked with them through sandy and muddy stuff and rocky climbs, and they did the job just right. Felt really stable and protected and they were comfortable out of the box. I also deeply appreciate the colors being dark instead of light and froufrou-y - makes me feel like an athlete, rather than a "female athlete"
