Salomon signed the United Nations Fashion Industry Charter for Climate Action in December 2018 and has committed to reduce its carbon emissions by 30% by the year 2030.
To address climate change, a number of countries adopted the Paris Agreement at the COP21 in Paris on 12 December 2015. In the agreement, all countries agreed to work to limit global temperature rise to well below 2 degrees Celsius, and given the grave risks, to strive for 1.5 degrees Celsius.
In December 2018, Salomon signed the United Nation Fashion Industry Charter for Climate Action, committing to 30 percent reduction in aggregate greenhouse gas emissions by 2030 (scope 1, 2, 3), with a vision to achieve net-zero emissions by 2050.
Signatories of this charter commit to decarbonization of the production phase, the selection of climate friendly and sustainable materials, low-carbon transport, improve consumer dialogue and awareness, work with the financing community and policymakers to catalyze scalable solutions.

Salomon, through Amer Sports, annually assesses its corporate-wide carbon footprint and participates in the Carbon Disclosure Program ( www.cdp.net ).

Since 2017, Salomon is ISO 14001 certified. which establishes the criteria for an environmental management system. ISO 14001 provides practical tools to manage environmental responsibilities, based on the principle of the continuous improvement of environmental performance by monitoring and controlling the impacts linked to the company’s activities, such as chemical safety, waste and wastewater.
Since 2017, Salomon is also certified ISO 50001 which establishes energy management system. It helps to increase energy efficiencies, conserve resources and mitigate climate change.
