2017 UTMB Champion Francois D’haene is universally regarded as one of the best ultra-runners on the planet, if not the best. When the Salomon athlete is not logging long runs in the French Alps, he spends his time making wine at Domaine du Germain, the vineyard he owns and operates with his wife in the Beaujolais region of France. For the past several years he has also been heavily involved in the creation of the new S/Lab Ultra running shoes, which is in stores now.
In this exclusive Inside ADC web video, we learned that Francois’ approach to making wine is, in many ways, quite similar to how he approached his involvement in the creation of this new trail running shoe.
