Prototyping for the S-LAB X-Alp Carbon GTX shoe took nearly one year. Benjamin Grenet is a Lead Advanced Senior Designer in Salomon’s Footwear department, working on S/LAB products with the company’s athletes. We pried him away from his work for a few minutes to get the story behind the development of the shoe and the work he did with Kilian Jornet to bring it to life for moving quickly and lightly in the mountains.
