Why so narrow?
Both me and my auntie had these shoes previously and loved them, each bought a new pair early last year and completely different story. Extremely narrow and stiff, I've never experience blisters like it just after a dog walk. Unfortunately due to Covid we didn't get to try them out til after the return window had passed. Very dissapointed, such a bad shoe I've been completely put off buying Salomon again.

Far too narrow
Have been wearing the older version of this shoe many years while I worked in outdoor retail, so i bought the Ultra 3 to replace them. Ended up returning them to the shop as they were far too narrow. Why have you reduced the width? Otherwise they would be excellent shoes and I'm gutted now I have to search for another brand to replace my Utra 2's

X ultra 3 - narrower fit
Very disappointed - I have had 2 pairs of x ultra 3, ordered another pair, had to return, they are narrower fit, tried 4 & 4 1/2, I do not have wide feet, but couldnt take the risk of them not stretching. Shame, I love the style of the x ultra 3. It was suggested Odessey but don’t like the style. Such a shame you have lost this Salomon customer.

Comfortable shoe
Felt compelled to write a review after reading all the negatives reviews. I bought these in Jan 2020 and can honestly say they are a very comfortable wear. I did go up half a size to 5.5 as felt the 5 was a little snug. I normally walk an average of 5 miles every morning but this escalated to about 8-10 miles a day in last summer’s lockdown. They were road tested further in the Scottish Highlands once lockdown was lifted, when muddy I found them easy to clean and have retained their waterproofing.The shoes are still standing me in good stead and I like the neat lacing system. Good cushioned interior sole, would recommend. Just about to buy a Salomon boot on the strength of how good these shoes are. Husband has bought the same shoe on my recommendation and is equally satisfied.
