Salomon XA-ALPINE - The Broken Arm
The Broken Arm, the Parisian fashion boutique and Salomon have been collaborating for the past 5 years on models rooted in mountaineering and mountain sports. Their original, usually highly specialised, functions are broadened for a more universal approach.
“The starting point was an alpine trail boot, purpose-built for snowy mountainous terrains, with its protective, water-repellent spat. We tweaked its proportions, adapted its opening mechanism and played with the colour palette.”
The result keeps the DNA of a radical shoe by the essence of its initial function but this reinterpretation allows for a more universal consideration, ranging from the very fashion-forward to the purely functional. The shoe released on 6.5 and is available on The Broken Arm website
