Salomon’s ÉQUIPE Para-Athletes: Performance Built Together
ÉQUIPE is Salomon’s commitment to competitive winter sports across Alpine, Snowboarding, and Nordic disciplines, including Para competitions. More than a performance program, ÉQUIPE is built on collaboration between athletes, engineers, and communities, reflecting our belief that progress and performance grow through shared insight and innovation.
“In a landscape traditionally defined by individuality and rivalry, Salomon aims to nurture collaboration, inclusivity, and a profound belief that the greatest victories are built together.”

David Farcot
Creative Director - Winter Sports Equipment
Rooted in Salomon’s heritage in winter sport, ÉQUIPE Para-Athletes are part of the same high-performance ecosystem as every competitor in the program. Each discipline brings distinct technical demands and classifications, but all rely on the same foundations: commitment, progression, and equipment shaped by real-world athlete insight.
Across Alpine and Nordic disciplines, standing, sitting, and vision-impaired categories, our Para-Athletes compete at the highest level. Their dedication and resilience inspire innovation and continuous improvement within our product teams.
Alpine Skiing
Speed. Precision. Reliability.
Para alpine skiing brings together athletes competing in three categories, standing, sitting, and vision impaired, across five disciplines: Downhill, Super-G, Super Combined, Giant Slalom, and Slalom.
Like all elite alpine racing, it demands courage, technical mastery, and absolute confidence in equipment.
Alpine Disciplines
Downhill is pure speed, with athletes reaching top velocities while navigating sweeping turns, jumps, and demanding terrain.
Super-G blends speed and precision, requiring fast decision-making and clean line choice.
Giant Slalom (GS) features longer, more technical turns that demand strength, rhythm, and consistency.
Slalom is the most technical discipline, testing agility, reflexes, and exact timing through closely set gates.
Super Combined brings together one speed run and one Slalom run, rewarding versatility and adaptability.

Nordic Skiing
Endurance. Precision. Strategy.
Para Nordic skiing challenges athletes across varied terrain including climbs, flats, and descents, where pacing, efficiency, and tactical awareness define performance. It includes two disciplines: Para Biathlon and Para Cross-Country.
Athletes compete in standing, sitting, and vision-impaired categories. In vision-impaired racing, athletes compete alongside a guide and race as one unified team.
Para Biathlon
Para biathlon combines cross-country skiing with precision shooting. Athletes alternate ski loops with prone shooting stages, where accuracy directly impacts results through time penalties or penalty loops.
Formats include Sprint, Individual, and Pursuit-style races, each balancing speed, control, and composure under pressure.
Para Cross-Country
Para cross-country expresses pure endurance and technical efficiency. Races are contested in classical or free technique and range from sprint formats to longer individual distances, as well as relay events that highlight team cohesion.
