A GLOBAL SURVIVAL STORY

Twenty years ago, Jonathan Acott got cancer for the first time. Now he's a six-time cancer survivor. Despite, in his own words of "fucking hating running", he's become a runner. And what started as a way to prove to himself that he was still alive has become a global story of survival. In March 2024, he set out for Antarctica to complete the final leg of an incredible journey: seven marathons on seven continents.

THE FIRST STEPS

"All I could do was walk. So I walked. 10 meters, 100 meters, 200, 300. Building, building every single day. Building. Pushing myself to walk a little bit further. And then, after a while, walking became running."

MOVING MEDITATION

"I live in pain and discomfort. But there is something about running on mud, stepping over tree trunks, that just makes me feel like I’m doing it for better reasons than just escaping. ”
