Olympic Medalist Victor Muffat Jeandet on the S/Race Boot

Olympic medalist Victor Muffat-Jeandet tested the new Salomon S/Race ski boot throughout the development process. On a visit to Salomon’s Alpine Race room at the Annecy Design Center in the off-season, he spent a few minutes explaining the reason behind the creation of the new S/Race ski boots and the performance he wants from his ski boots.

Built for the ultimate test of performance, S/RACE ski boots are powerful, precise race machines built on Salomon's new Xecarb Coreframe for unmatched precision and transmission with less weight than traditional race boots. The new Coreframe construction uses a thinner walled Sensitive Shell, reinforced with a Carbon Coreframe, to deliver both improved terrain feedback and power transmission to the edges.

The shell and cuff are made off a high-quality TPU that provides more rebound to the boot when used with a high level of constraints, such as in a World Cup race. The World Cup liner can be custom fit and the cantable and screwed oversized pivot lets you dial your stance in precisely.
