Terms and conditions of SALOMON loyalty programme ("Terms")
Version 2013-1; posted and effective as of March 12th 2013
SALOMON loyalty programme has been set up by Amer Sports UK Limited, whose head office is located at 1st floor Theta, Lyon Way, Frimley, Camberley, Surrey, GU16 7ER, United Kingdom (hereinafter "SALOMON" or "us/we" as the context may require).
The loyalty programme is available to all natural persons aged 18 or over who are normally and lawfully resident in the UK, and hold a valid email address, having purchased products on or after March 12th 2013 via the SALOMON online store at the URL: http://www.salomon.com/uk, http://www.salomonrunning.com/uk, or http://www.salomonfreeski.com/uk (hereafter "Cardholder" or "you/your" as the context may require). The loyalty programme is not available to organisations or other legal entities (companies, associations, groups, etc).
Upon entering their SALOMON loyalty card number/details, Cardholders will enjoy certain benefits in relation to eligible purchases made via the SALOMON online store at http://www.salomon.com/uk, http://www.salomonrunning.com/uk, and http://www.salomonfreeski.com/uk (hereafter the “Online Store”). Certain purchases may be excluded (see below). The SALOMON loyalty card is free of charge.
Section 1 - Acceptance of terms:
By signing up to become a member of the loyalty programme, you indicate that we may send you electronic communications relating to the operation of the loyalty programme. You also agree that all agreements, notices, disclosures and other communications that are sent by us to you electronically satisfy any legal requirement for such communications to be in writing. If you wish to stop receiving these communications, please contact our Customer Service team (as described in section 8.5) or simply follow the ‘unsubscribe’ link on the relevant email
The provisions of these Terms are not intended to exclude (and should not be interpreted as excluding) any statutory rights granted to you by law, rights which you cannot waive or which cannot lawfully be limited by contract.
Section 2 - Purpose:
In accordance with these Terms, the loyalty programme is intended to grant to the Cardholders the following benefits:
• Welcome pack
• Loyalty vouchers (under the conditions as described in Section 5)
• Specific services as detailed in Section 6
Please note that the SALOMON loyalty card is not a payment card.
Section 3 – How to join the SALOMON Loyalty Programme:
3.1. Joining the Loyalty Programme
To sign up for your subscription to the loyalty programme and to get the SALOMON loyalty card, please complete the information as defined by SALOMON on http://www.salomon.com/uk and accept these Terms.
A welcome pack including SALOMON loyalty card and a document explaining how to access the £12 loyalty voucher will be sent to you. The welcome voucher will be available after the acceptance of these Terms on http://www.salomon.com/uk
The SALOMON loyalty card is personal and is limited to one per person. SALOMON reserves the right at any time to request any document to prove the identity of the person wishing to subscribe or having subscribed to the loyalty programme.
3.3. Validation by SALOMON
Please provide the correct and accurate information on http://www.salomon.com/uk. SALOMON cannot process incomplete or incorrect applications.
Section 4 - Earning loyalty advantages:
After joining the loyalty programme, by making qualifying purchases you will start to benefit from loyalty advantages.
Purchases made prior to your loyalty card being activated will not count.
You will earn loyalty advantages for all qualifying purchases made via the Online Store as follows:
- a loyalty voucher of £12 per £150 of qualifying (full-price) purchases made via the Online Store (purchases do not have to be made in one transaction).
- for any single transaction of £800 or more via the Online Store, you will receive an automatic discount of £80.
Amounts in this section and in these Terms include all taxes.
When making purchases using a loyalty voucher, credit or discount, the amount paid by voucher, credit or discount will not count as a ‘qualifying purchase’.
Loyalty advantages and vouchers will be issued to Cardholders no less than 30 days (and usually no more than 50 days) after the qualifying purchase. It is understood that in case of return or refund made on the Online Store, any loyalty advantages originally acquired for the purchase of these product(s) will be deducted from your account.
In addition, if a Cardholder completes 3 consecutive qualifying purchases via the Online Store for an amount exceeding £300 in total during any 12 month period of membership (excluding any items which are returned/refunded) you will be given access to the ELITE services defined in Section 6.2 starting 31 days after your last qualifying purchase.
You will start earning loyalty advantages at the date of the first qualifying purchase made via the Online Store.
4.2. Viewing your loyalty advantages
You may check, at any time, the loyalty advantages by accessing your personal account online at http://www.salomon.com/uk or via the mobile application, available through the Apple app store or Google play on “My account” tab.
The loyalty advantages accrued have no cash value (save that loyalty vouchers may be exchanged for goods at the Online Store in the manner set out in these Terms and as notified to you from time to time) and are not assignable or transferable.
Section 5 - Loyalty vouchers:
In accordance with Section 4.1, you can earn loyalty vouchers. Where applicable, these vouchers will be sent by email, they will also be available on "My Account" tab at http://www.salomon.com/uk.
Loyalty vouchers are only valid on the Online Store for a period of three (3) months from their issue.
In all cases, loyalty vouchers can never be transferred, refunded, exchanged or sold, even if lost, stolen or used without your knowledge or consent. The Online Store will not give any change when the loyalty vouchers are not used in their entirety.
Loyalty vouchers cannot be used during sales or in conjunction with promotional offers (except as otherwise expressly stated by us from time to time).
Section 6 - Special Services
6.1 Common Services
By joining the SALOMON loyalty programme, you will have access to the following services (which may be amended, suspended or revoked at any time without notice):
(i) Refund for items purchased on the Online Store without presentation of the receipt, within a maximum period of 30 days (instead of 15 days) following the date of purchase.
(ii) You will receive emails related to the SALOMON loyalty programme (providing further information about your loyalty vouchers, etc.).
(iii) When returning items to us as permitted by law and these terms, you will have access to our free “easy return solution” which works as follows: Please contact our Customer Service team, who will send you a form to be filled in; once filled in please return the form to our Customer Service team who will organise the shipment of your products back to us.
(iv) You will be given access to exclusive online content such as videos related to the use of SALOMON products
(v) On your birthday you will receive a birthday gift voucher in the amount of £10 valid on any qualifying purchase from the Online Store for a period of one month from the date of your birthday (provided you let us know what your birthday is when you subscribe to the loyalty programme).
6.2 ELITE Services
In addition to the services defined in Section 6.1, if you are eligible for the ELITE programme as defined in Section 4.1 you will benefit from the following additional services:
(i) From time to time you may be invited to visit certain SALOMON premises
(ii) You will have access to FLASH sales and will benefit from special promotional activities initiated by SALOMON and/or its partners
(iii) You will be able to preview selected online content of the SALOMON website
(iv) You will have an early preview of the new collection of SALOMON products
(v) You may be offered the chance to participate in sporting events (eg meetings with SALOMON athletes, participation in product testing, etc...)
Section 7 – Liability
7.1. Liability of the Customer
Your SALOMON loyalty card and vouchers are personal and not transferable.
You are solely responsible for any use that may be made with your account details, and please do not disclose your account details (including your password) to anyone else.
7.2. Liability of SALOMON
Salomon will use its reasonable endeavours to make the services available in accordance with these Terms.Nevertheless, SALOMON shall not be held liable for damages of any kind related to the loyalty programme, including delays, delivery errors, connection problems, loss of data or other anomalies.
SALOMON shall not be held responsible for delay or failure to perform, if the delay or failure is caused by any circumstances beyond its reasonable control including but not limited to acts of war or terror, strikes, national or local states of emergency, failure of transportation facilities, power or utility outages, earthquakes, or other natural disasters.
However, nothing in these Terms shall limit or exclude Salomon’s liability for (a) death or personal injury caused by its negligence, or (b) fraud, or (c) any other type of liability which may not be lawfully limited or excluded in this type of agreement.
Section 8 - Notifications
8.1. Changes in personal information:
If there is any change in your address or email address or name, please report it to http://www.salomon.com/uk/contact.html.
8.2. Loss and/or theft of loyalty card:
If your SALOMON card is lost or stolen, please inform promptly SALOMON Customer Service at the address listed in Section 8.4.
8.3 Fraudulent use of the card
Please inform SALOMON as soon as possible of any unauthorised use of your credentials, account or card. Customer loyalty advantages in violation of these Terms or by abusive or fraudulent use of the card will be cancelled without any compensation.

Section 9 – Modifications, suspension or ending of SALOMON loyalty programme
Your SALOMON loyalty card is valid for the lifetime of the SALOMON loyalty programme. SALOMON reserves the right at any time to modify, suspend or terminate the loyalty programme without prior notice, without having to explain its decision and without compensation (including, without limitation, the right to modify the value of and ways to earn loyalty advantages) . However, wherever reasonably practical we may (in our discretion) provide you with advance notice of such changes by posting updated Terms on the Online Store and/or by emailing the members.
SALOMON has the right to modify these Terms in full or in part at any time.
Section 10 - Personal Data
Section 11 - General Provisions
If any provision of these Terms is held to be invalid, illegal or unenforceable, that provision shall be enforced to the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, and the validity, legality and enforceability of the remaining provisions shall not in any way be affected or impaired.
Section 12 - Applicable law
These Terms and any disputes relating to these Terms shall be governed and construed in accordance with English law. The parties irrevocably agree that the courts of England and Wales shall have exclusive jurisdiction to settle any dispute or claim that arises out of or in connection with these Terms or its subject matter or formation (including non-contractual disputes or claims).
