Great poles at this price point, but wrong straps
I bought these poles a month ago, and have used them over 10 times. They've been really great so far for my uses (mostly ski in a local ravine with the odd weekend trip to groomed tracks, so I wanted a pole that could handle the variable terrain and getting a bit banged up in the local ravine). They're not the lightest of course, given that they're aluminum, but they're not much heavier than the Escape composite poles that I also tried out.
The only issue I encountered is that the poles didn't come with the straps pictured on this website (the straps that have a padded wider area that would sit over the top of the hand). Instead, they came with the most basic biathlon strap, which was just a thin strip of nylon webbing all the way around (and is a bit annoying, because it twists around much more easily and is also less comfortable). I specifically ordered this pole because it's one of the few I could find that had a decent strap at this price point, so I contacted Salomon and they sent me the proper straps (but they also annoyingly told me that perhaps I ordered a previous season's poles and didn't realize - I know I ordered this season's poles and I suspect Salomon was just having supply chain issues with increased demand and threw on a cheaper strap). Anyhow, that's a small issue, and I'm happy with the poles (especially with the better straps on them).
